I should introduce myself. My name is Amanda and I am a new mom. I am 31 years old (much later in the game than my younger self would have liked, but happy nonetheless), married almost 2 years, and I am an 8th grade English teacher (though, what I do for funsies on my off hours may not all be grammatically flawless. Please don't let typos or fun, made up words give you the sense that you should be attacking my choice of profession. This is a tool to help me keep what little sanity I have in tact, not a vehicle for judgement or hate...). My husband and I are a middle class couple, he manages a retail store and our combined income keeps us fed and happy. We like to travel, though we don't get to go often or wander as far as we'd like. We've gone to Turks and Caicos (he won that trip on Let's Make a Deal), Santa Barbara, Oakhurst, Chicago, Tahoe, and Mexico (we honeymooned in Riviera Maya). We live in Southern California, but my husband is not a huge fan of the beach...
